DENTON — Representative Myra Crownover (R-Denton) has been recognized for the second consecutive time with the "Champion for Free Enterprise" award from the Texas Association of Business (TAB), their highest honor. For more than 75 years, TAB has worked to improve the Texas business climate and to help make our state's economy one of the strongest in the world.
"I appreciate this tremendous honor," Rep. Crownover said. "Encouraging economic growth, sound fiscal policy, and positive forward movement for the state of Texas simply put makes sense. We are all fortunate to live and work in a progressive, growing state with a vibrant economy."
Having served four full terms in the Legislature, Crownover has consistently been a strong voice for the employers and their workers in Texas.
"As I have said on several occasions - these are daily, real-life human and economic issues we are dealing with in our state. Food on the table and paychecks in the pocket will always be a priority to me," Crownover stated.
Crownover has represented District 64 in the Texas House of Representatives since 2000. She is a member of the Appropriations Committee, serves as Chairman of Budget and Oversight on the Energy Resources Committee, and is a member of the Calendars Committee.
