AUSTIN — Rep. Myra Crownover (R-Denton), now in her fourth term of office, will serve a third term on the powerful Committee on Appropriations for the 80th legislative session. The House Committee on Appropriations is charged with drafting the budget for the state of Texas.

Rep. Crownover also returns as Chair of Budget and Oversight for the Committee on Energy Resources as well as newly serving on the House Calendars Committee. Collectively, the assignments position Rep. Crownover well to represent the people of House District 64 as well as address a number of pressing issues facing the State of Texas.

Rep. Crownover was recently sworn into her fourth full term. The district includes the cities of Denton, Shady Shores, Lake Dallas, Hickory Creek, Little Elm, The Colony, Lakewood Village, and Corinth. She will continue to operate through both her district and capitol offices and encourages constituents to contact her office regarding their legislative questions and concerns.
